Marine and submarine works

TRASOMAR is a Monegasque company created in 1994, specialized in marine and submarine works in the Monaco Principality, in France and all around the world. It joined S.A.M. des Entreprises J.B. PASTOR et FILS in 2016.

TRASOMAR is using various methods :

  • TRASO-1 crane-barge: 36m x 16m x 3m, classified in 4th category (working at open sea)
  • EDMOND crane-barge : 60m x 22m x 4m + 4 hydraulic winches ; classified in 4th category (working at open sea)
  • ATTILA crane-barge with ATTILA’s tender boat: 36m x 16m x 3m + 4 hydraulic winches ; classified in 4th category (working at open sea)
  • THE PALETUVIER: 21 m tugboat
  • THE BULL : 23.50 m Shoallbuster – capacity of crane 23 t at 2.50 m
  • TRASO-2 barge : 9m x 6m x 1.25m + 4 pneumatic winches and a gallows

Experts in underwater and port works in the PACA region

The three MARE NOSTRUM agencies, based in Nice / Saint Tropez / Bandol, subsidiaries of S.A.M. TRASOMAR, are key players  in submerged, port and hyperbaric works in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.

  • MARE NOSTRUM NICE joined S.A.M. TRASOMAR in 2019.
  • MARE NOSTRUM SAINT-TROPEZ (Formerly FAUCON) joined MARE NOSTRUM  in 2021.
  • MARE NOSTRUM BANDOL (formerly ATSM) joined MARE NOSTRUM in 2024.

With their know-how and strategic locations in Nice, Saint-Tropez and Bandol, our teams offer optimal coverage of the coastline and maximum responsiveness to meet the needs of ports, local authorities and private players: Comprehensive expertise and diversified skills

Our three entities provide a wide range of services, from the installation and maintenance of port infrastructure to specialized hyperbaric work, as well as underwater inspection and diagnostics.

Our areas of intervention:

  • Underwater and hyperbaric work (formwork, concreting, oxy-arc cutting, anode welding, reinforcement, underpinning)
  • Marking of coastlines and beaches (from Cap d'Ail to Bandol, via Saint-Tropez, Ramatuelle, Gassin, Cogolin)
  • Anchoring and moorings (ZMEL, installation and maintenance of moorings, installation of pontoons, replacement of main chains, ecological anchors)
  • Refloating, towing and beaching of vessels
  • Underwater control and inspection (Lloyd's Register certified divers, cathode measurements, bathymetry, photo/video inspections)
  • Environment and underwater remediation
  • Laying and repairing pipes
  • Works on civil engineering structures (inspections, rehabilitation, welding, cutting,...)

Efficient and innovative technical resources

Thanks to a fleet of specialized vessels and state-of-the-art equipment, we are able to intervene efficiently, safely and in compliance with the regulations in force. Here are the technical means used by our three entities:

MARE NOSTRUM – NICE

  • The MARE NOSTRUM 2 : 11.30m x 4m cargo ship, 2 engines of 200 hp, load capacity of 10t, crane capacity 1t to 6m. This vessel is dedicated to underwater work and buoyage.
  • The SCAPH : 7m x 2.5m safety vessel, 115 hp. It serves as a surface support for dives.
  • The PAPY : 7m x 2.5m safety vessel, 115 hp.
  • The TEVA : 7m x 2.5m safety vessel, 115 hp.
  • Diving equipment : Two complete sets of hookah diving, high-pressure compressor (12 m³/h), low-pressure compressor, 5 KVA generator, thermal motor pumps, lifting parachutes, etc.

MARE NOSTRUM SAINT-TROPEZ

  • MARGUEYVAN II : Tugboat moored year-round at the Port of Saint-Tropez.
  • LA BULLE: 8.5m x 3.5m pontoon, equipped with 2 hydraulic anchor piles 7m high. This vessel is designed for untangling, lifting, pumping, cutting, coring and other port work.
  • LA GWËL: 7m x 2.5m vessel, which allows you to beach in complete safety and assists the MARGUEYVAN II.
  • Diving equipment : Bauer PE250-MVE compressor 15 m³/h, 3 Kirby Morgan helmets, 2 hookahs, diving equipment specific to each intervention.

MARE NOSTRUM BANDOL

Professional equipment adapted to the nature of underwater, port and construction work.

  • KRAKEN: 7m x 2.5m safety vessel, 115 hp. It serves as a surface support for dives.
  • Certified divers : Expertise carried out by "Lloyd's Register" divers, with specific diving equipment.
  • ROV : Assistance by remotely operated underwater robots for complex inspections, diagnostics and interventions.
  • Specialized vehicles : For the salvage, towing and beaching of wrecks, as well as for the installation and manufacture of moorings.
  • Various equipment : On-board camera, engineering structure control equipment, devices for thickness measurement and cathode measurements.

Recognized and certified expertise

In accordance with the French Decree of 2017, our companies are certified to carry out hyperbaric work in Mention A. MARE NOSTRUM BANDOL also stands out for its expertise in underwater inspections, with Lloyd's Register certified divers  and the use of ROVs (remotely operated underwater robots) for in-depth diagnostics.

MARE NOSTRUM – NICE: More than 30 years of experience in the Port of Nice, interventions all along the Côte d'Azur coast.
MARE NOSTRUM SAINT-TROPEZ: Formerly FAUCON - Founded in 1965, historical partner of the Port of Saint-Tropez, with infrastructures in the port of Saint Tropez and in Grimaud.
MARE NOSTRUM BANDOL: Formerly ATSM, created in 2008 and integrated into the group in 2024, this subsidiary strengthens our presence in the PACA region and allows us to operate in the Var and Bouches-du-Rhône regions, with a national intervention capacity.
